I'm a ceramic artist living in Portland, Oregon, and I've been creating with clay for several decades. My designs are created by carving away a layer of glaze as well as carving directly into the clay by using a technique called sgraffito. This process is a labor of love and each piece goes through various stages to turn into a functional piece of art.
